Louisville, Ky.\u00a0<\/strong>(May 10, 2023) \u2013 Greater Louisville Inc. opened applications for its third annual \u2018Finding You in Lou\u2019 professional and leadership development program presented by the University of Louisville. The free, four-week program is open to current college juniors and seniors and will offer two cohorts \u2013 one in June and one in July.<\/p>\n

The program\u2019s goal is to better prepare today\u2019s students for tomorrow\u2019s jobs by providing opportunities to build their leadership skills, personal brand identity, and networks with peers and community leaders. It is also a unique opportunity for employers to invest in retaining emerging talent in Louisville. Each week, GLI will coordinate weekly development seminars and networking opportunities for participants to connect with community and business leaders that will help them grow and stay connected in the Greater Louisville area.<\/p>\n

\u201cFinding You in Lou is an invaluable opportunity for our emerging talent to get connected in our community and plant roots that we hope will keep them here or bring them back when they are ready to start their careers,\u201d said Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, president and CEO of GLI. \u201cWe are looking forward to working with many of our partners and businesses to showcase the professional opportunities and amenities our region offers. GLI\u2019s nationally recognized talent attraction initiative, Live in Lou, launched the \u2018Finding You in Lou\u2019 program in 2021 with the goal of retaining and attracting emerging talent. The program provides participants with information and access to community leaders and stakeholders to grow their professional connections, and showcase what it\u2019s like to live, work, play, and impact change in Greater Louisville post-graduation.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

The program will kick off June 7 with the first cohort and the second cohort will start on July 12. Each cohort is a two-hour weekly time commitment with sessions scheduled during the workday. Interested college students or employers can\u00a0learn more<\/a>\u00a0and register for the program\u00a0here<\/a>.
