As job applicants have become more diverse the need and desire for more effective legal DE&amp;I training and programming is an increasingly global trend and a growing imperative for organizational sustainability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Now more than ever, it is critical for employers to create an inclusive culture where employees feel comfortable. GLI is excited to offer Diversity, Equity &amp; Inclusion (DE&amp;I) training to help businesses amplify their inclusion efforts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">In addition to educating your staff, improving your reputation, and growing your company\u2019s talent pool, DE&amp;I training is important to your organization for a number of reasons:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><b>It\u2019s the right thing to do.<\/b>\u00a0Implementing D&amp;I training in your organization shows that your company is willing to take the first steps towards progress. In fact, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundera.com\/resources\/diversity-in-the-workplace-statistics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"2\" data-ogsc=\"\" class=\"external\">Fundera<\/a>, 57% of employees want to see their company increase diversity.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><b>Diversity drives employee productivity and performance.<\/b>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecisolutions.com\/blog\/increase-employee-performance-by-12-by-hiring-for-diversity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"3\" data-ogsc=\"\" class=\"external\">Eci<\/a>\u00a0calculates that employee performance can be boosted by 12%.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><b>It fosters creativity and innovation.\u00a0<\/b>According to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2016\/11\/why-diverse-teams-are-smarter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"4\" data-ogsc=\"\" class=\"external\">Harvard Business Review<\/a>, organizations with diverse leadership and DE&amp;I programs innovate faster.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><b>Having a diverse staff reduces employee turnover.<\/b>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.deloitte.com\/content\/dam\/Deloitte\/us\/Documents\/about-deloitte\/us-about-deloitte-unleashing-power-of-inclusion.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"5\" data-ogsc=\"\" class=\"external\">Deloitte<\/a>\u00a0points out that 80% of employees want to work in inclusive companies and that inclusive environments are an important factor when selecting an employer. Moreover, 39% of respondents said they would leave their current organization for a more inclusive one, and 23% had already made that decision.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><b>Diversity increases profits and grow\u2019s a company\u2019s market share.\u00a0<\/b>Companies with greater diversity are 25% more likely to experience above-average profitability compared to their non-diverse counterparts, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/featured-insights\/diversity-and-inclusion\/diversity-wins-how-inclusion-matters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"6\" data-ogsc=\"\" class=\"external\">McKinsey<\/a>.<b>\u00a0<\/b>In fact, companies with ethnic diversity are 33% more likely to outperform their peers, and companies with gender diversity are 21% more likely to outperform their peers.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><b>Diverse Leadership is important, too.<\/b>\u00a0The average earnings growth of portfolio with two or more diverse board members has been nearly 12 percent per year greater than the average of companies that lack diversity, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.carlyle.com\/impact\/diverse-teams\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"7\" data-ogsc=\"\" class=\"external\">Carlyle<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"x_MsoNormal\">ABOUT THE TRAINING SESSIONS<\/h2>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The following training sessions are now available.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\" data-ogsc=\"red\"><b data-ogsc=\"\">Diversity 101<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">In this session participants will get to know the terms DE&amp;I now B! How does it all tie together? Understanding why DE&amp;I is so important and how it affects an organization will be covered, as well as how to better understand differences and the role the participants can play within their own organizations to be part of an inclusive workplace.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\" data-ogsc=\"red\"><b data-ogsc=\"\">Cultural Competency<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">This session will focus on what cultural competency is and give you the ability to understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with people across cultures while being aware of one\u2019s own worldview.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\" data-ogsc=\"red\"><b data-ogsc=\"\">Understanding Unconscious\/Implicit Bias<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">This session will focus on unconscious\/implicit Bias. Participants will learn that unconscious\/implicit bias can lead to unconscious favoritism or prejudice against people or conduct and how to look out for these biases.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\" data-ogsc=\"red\"><b data-ogsc=\"\">Becoming an Antiracist<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Oh, no, I\u2019m not a racist! During this engaging session, we will define and explore critical terms to develop a common understanding. Participants will also learn how various concepts show up in and around us daily and will explore strategies designed to breakdown racism in the workplace and beyond.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><b><span data-ogsc=\"red\">Inclusive Leadership (for Top-Level Leaders)<\/span><\/b><b><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Participants will explore the six traits of an inclusive leader and examine inclusive leaders\u2019 behaviors \u2013 both ones to model and ones not to model. She deems herself as the ultimate connector with a passion of connecting all people with people who can help one advance-whether it\u2019s the person in the corner office or the person under the bridge. Dana believes that they should meet and learn from each other. Dana has a passion for the underdog! Her work in dear to her as she believes that all voices should matter. Dana holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Spalding University in Louisville, KY. She has had extensive training from some of the top consultants in the field of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and is currently enrolled at eCornell University working on her first certification in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. For businesses wishing to train groups over 50, there is a $500 price increase per class.
