Responses came from a diverse mix of industries including professional services, manufacturing, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations representing both small and large employers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"788\" data-end=\"1004\">Businesses shared candid feedback about what is working, where gaps exist, and how GLI can continue to support <strong data-start=\"899\" data-end=\"956\">talent attraction, retention, and workforce readiness<\/strong> across the 15-county Greater Louisville region.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1011\" data-end=\"1056\"><strong data-start=\"1014\" data-end=\"1056\">Top Workforce Challenges in Louisville<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1058\" data-end=\"1104\">Employers cited their biggest challenges as:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1105\" data-end=\"1220\">\n<li data-start=\"1105\" data-end=\"1135\">\n<p data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1135\"><strong data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1133\">Retaining talent (39%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1166\">\n<p data-start=\"1138\" data-end=\"1166\"><strong data-start=\"1138\" data-end=\"1164\">Wage competition (37%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1220\">\n<p data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1220\"><strong data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1218\">Finding qualified entry-level employees (35%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1222\" data-end=\"1385\">These concerns reflect a tight labor market where companies are competing not only on pay but also on culture,
